Funding Opportunities
The Center for American and World Cultures has four funding opportunities:
Requests for fall 2008 programs must be recieved by September 15th in order to be considered for fall funding. Applications are processed on a first come first serve basis.
Intercultural Off-site Classroom Experience Fund
The Center providesup to $200 for faculty to go off-site with their students to engage in across-cultural experience relevant to their class syllabus and subject matter. This is by reimbursement only. After you have taken your pre-approved experience, you will need to bring in your original receipt, and proof of payment (ie: credit card staement/receipt or canceled check) Do not use cash. The requirements and proposal form are below.

Program Funds for Departments and/or Programs
Departments and/orprograms can request funds to help support a speaker, performer, or other presenter. Proposals should be addressed to Mary Jane Berman (bermanmj@muohio.edu).
Funds to Enhance Student Group Activities
Student groups must submit a two paragraph proposal describing the purpose of their project and an explanation of how the project fulfills the CAWC mission. These funds can be used for events or travel. The Center gives between $150 and $500. Proposals should be addressed to Dr. Mary Jane Berman (bermanmj@muohio.edu).
Travel Fund for Faculty or Students
Faculty or students must submit a two paragraph proposal describing the purpose of their travel and an explanation of how it fulfills the mission of CAWC. The Center gives between $100 and $200.00 per trip. Recipients must submit a two paragraph report upon return in order for funds to be reimbursed. Proposals should be addressed to Mary Jane Berman (bermanmj@muohio.edu).
